We have an original Mid-century Modern executive chair for $550. It’s an original Eero Saarinen chair for Knoll, and was designed in the 1950’s. It has a solid fiberglass frame, and has just been reupholstered in a designer fabric. We went with a Maharam fabric that was designed by Italian designer Guiliano Ridolfo, and is part of his “Outback” series by Kvadrat. This particular color is called “Midnight Blue”, and is absolutely perfect! It is essentially a blue, but has hints of green gray, and has this amazing soft texture to it. It’s a blend of wool and nylon. The texture achieved by this blend must be felt in person to truly appreciate it! I took a close-up shot of the tone and tried to capture the texture / aesthetic. These chairs are timeless in design, and start at $1,042 on Knoll’s website and go up from there depending on fabric or leather selected. Ours is the armless version with tubular legs. It’d make a wonderful accent chair, corner chair, guest chair, desk chair, or waiting chair. You can’t get any more classic Mid-century furniture than this piece of design history. We only have one left.
